Sweet Surrender

How many of us can bravely say we can face the honest truth about ourselves.
Constructive criticism might be perceived as character assassination, depending on the delivery and its timing.
To grow, we need to be able to hear the truth about our shortcomings and areas in need of improvement. Although it stings a bit and can be downright hurtful, the end result of personal introspection and willingness to admit and correct our wrongs, propels inner healing, this is wisdom in application.
I've had quite a few fall outs with some of my closest friends and associates. Yet in the process I have learned that these experiences, though it caused some pain, also released beauty from the ashes. When I let the lie which I believed to die, in its place sprung up a beautiful truth, forgiveness repairs the soul, healing lasts a lifetime.
