Coping With Anxiety

Updated: Sep 19, 2021

It's no doubt we are living in extremely troublesome times. It seems as though each time we listen to the news there are major issues which we feel like we have no control over.

From Covid-19 to jaw dropping disasters all over the world, we are constantly trying to keep up with constant changes. Having to adjust to life altering circumstances such as facing unemployment, loss of homes, health challenges, can be exhausting.

During the pandemic we have learned the value of the simple things again. Neighborhood walks, visiting local parks, spending quality time with loved ones. Many people are jumping off the hamster wheel. Some are asking for a better away of living, wellness in mind, body and spirit.

As a mental health coach I cannot stress enough the importance of quality over quantity. Material things do not bring satisfaction. Bringing joy to others, simply taking in the beauty of nature, sharing interests and favorite past time, providing comfort to a friend or stranger in difficult times, adds to a meaningful life.

It is necessary to unplug from time to time. Away from the hustle and bustle, social media, constant news, work and home responsibilities. Reducing stress and anxiety daily, absolutely needed to maintain holistic wellness.

Take time to love on you! You Certainly Deserve It!

About Me

Vibrant red and purple flowers with clear blue sky background.

I find it difficult to focus on one thing at a time.  Often it is important that those closest to me jolts me out of my thoughts.  Getting caught up in all the stuff that goes through my head can be exhausting.  Talking it out or writing is a form of therapy and release for me.
